The iconic Krispy Kreme brand chose CCD Innovation to help innovate a new QSR experience focused on expanding the consumer “Stay in Store” moments by developing a pipeline of products that enhance consumer engagement.
Approach
CCDI conducted a strategic immersion program to understand the innovation opportunities focused on strengthening the business model, driving shareholder value and increasing community engagement. This insightful immersion identified two high potential platform opportunity areas that fit within the brand, consumer and business guardrails.
A curated team from CCDI’s Chefs Council® was challenged to create a breadth of milkshake and frozen dessert products that delivered against a craveable and joyful new QSR restaurant concept.
After a large sampling of dynamic Chefs Council® products, CCDI rapidly developed a range of testable product concepts and identified necessary equipment manufacturers for scale-up executions.
Results
In addition to creating a menu strategy concept positioning, CCDI prioritized and developed a range of product concepts that successfully delivered on new levels of consumer engagement.
